Customer view

What is Customer view?

Customer view is the clean outward-facing quote in Quotelixa Pro: present lines, references, and totals clearly while internal pricing, margin, and deal checks stay inside the business.

What Customer view is

Customer view is the outward-facing quote screen in Quotelixa Pro. It is what you lean on when the quote needs to read cleanly for someone outside the business: share, send, or talk them through it without dumping your working notes on the page.

It separates what the customer should see from the internal pricing detail, margin thinking, and discount pressure that should stay inside the business. You still do that work elsewhere in Pro; Customer view is where you shape what actually leaves.

It is most useful once the job has moved beyond a quick line check on Home and into a real customer-facing quote you are willing to stand behind on paper.

Outward presentation

Show the quote clearly without exposing internal pricing detail

Pro

Customer view is built so the person on the other side sees what they need: line items, references, and totals in a layout you can send or share without apologising for how it looks.

It is not about hiding the job. It is about keeping internal review detail out of the version that leaves the building.

  • Cleaner line presentation so the quote is easy to scan.
  • Visible references and readable totals so the customer can follow what they are buying.
  • Output you can stand behind when the conversation moves from “what might this cost?” to “here is our quote”.
  • A better fit once you are past a rough line check and into something you would actually attach to an email or hand over on site.

Different job, different screen

For sharing outward, not for judging the deal

Pro

Customer view is for outward presentation: a clear read of the quote for the customer. Internal view is where you judge the wider commercial position before you commit or send.

Deal intelligence is there when pressure builds and you need to see where the quote is strong, where it is weak, and where movement will hurt. None of that belongs in the same outward-facing page as the customer’s line list.

  • Customer view: present the quote clearly so the customer can decide on scope and price on fair terms.
  • Internal view: check margin, discount, and whole-quote movement before you agree to more.
  • Deal intelligence: read pressure and weakness when the conversation gets harder.

How it fits your day

When Customer view helps, and when the wider Pro workflow matters more

Customer view is strongest when the question is “what are we showing them?”. The rest of Pro answers “are we still happy with that on our own numbers?”.

When Customer view is useful

Pro
  • Sending a quote to a customer or supplier who needs a proper paper trail.
  • Giving the quote a cleaner outward summary before it goes out the door.
  • Showing line items, references, and totals clearly so there is less back-and-forth on what was priced.
  • Using customer copy or share outputs when the job is real, not a rough sketch.
  • Moving from a quick pricing check on Home into a conversation where presentation matters as much as the number.

What Customer view does not replace

Pro
  • It does not tell you on its own whether the deal still works commercially.
  • It does not replace Internal view or Deal intelligence when you need to stress-test the quote.
  • It should sit alongside the wider Pro workflow, not instead of it.
  • Use Customer view to present the quote clearly, then use Internal view and Deal intelligence when the judgement behind the quote matters just as much.

How Quotelixa helps

Customer view helps you present the quote clearly without exposing internal pricing and review detail that should stay inside the business. You get a cleaner outward read while the rest of Pro still carries the judgement when the deal gets tight.

What is Internal view?

Internal view is your whole-quote read in Quotelixa Pro before anything goes outward: invoice-level discount, original versus adjusted position, and where movement actually lands on revenue, margin, and profit.

Deal intelligence

What is Deal intelligence?

Deal intelligence is the part of Quotelixa Pro that helps you read the live quote when discount pressure builds: where the quote is strong, where it is weak, where movement will hurt most, and what to do next in a real conversation.
